Sr. GIS Analyst (2019 - present)

SilverTip Energy, San Antonio, TX

Responsible for implementing, maintaining, and training users on GIS and other information systems for oil & gas land brokerage. Manage data divestment operations during company’s end of life.

  • develop data management standards, database schemas, and entity relationship models to ensure correct storage of land and business data

  • lead data management transition from spreadsheet-based system to Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system

  • work with in-house users and third-party developers to custom-build CRM to meet business needs

  • develop KPIs, queries, reports, and dashboards to deliver operations metrics to decision-makers

  • integrate Land Information System (TrueLand) with GIS to provide live updates of leasing and competitor activity within company areas of interest

Provided geoscience, GIS, and data management support for over a dozen geologists, geophysicists, engineers, landmen, and managers on North American Exploration team focused on unconventional exploration in Permian and Green River Basins.

 

  • produced maps of exploration play concepts and competitor analysis for management

  • prepared map and cross-section deliverables for paper and electronic distribution

  • automated GIS workflows using Python and ArcGIS ModelBuilder to expedite problem-solving tasks

  • acquired, cataloged, and archived data and digital assets, including directional surveys, vector and raster wireline well logs, mudlogs, and borehole image logs for use in Landmark OpenWorks database
